they're ok
As another reviewer found, after a few weeks "cracks" have appeared in the creases of the shoes, revealing, in fact, that these are definately NOT leather shoes at all. They are imitation leather.
However, it has been really difficult to find school shoes that do not fall apart or the sole wear out extremely quickly. Certainly when i was a kid we weren't replacing shoes twice a year! Ah the benfits of the low-cost model.....

The sole on this shoe is very tough and has lasted well so far, but i`m disappointed with the surface finish. Perhaps some dubbin is in order to make them more resistant to flexing---oh great, yet another job :)

These shoes are fantastic. Quick delivery. My son seems to spend most of his school days knelt down and shoes go very quickly on the toes - not these. Will be ordering next size up as well!

Good sturdy school shoe
My 12 yr old son has awkward wide feet but these shoes fit him perfectly, they have generous velcro straps on them. They are well made, sturdy and durable. He was pleased with them too, they are comfortable.

Not too secure
We bought these for my little boy to wear on the beach. Whilst they are fine for a bit of paddling, they did come off very easily when faced with the challenge of squelchy sand/mud when the tide was out! Very cute and durable shoes though; he loves them!

Gorgeous shoes
I ordered the frog design for my little boy, as he is mad about frogs!! I was not disapointed with these, they are bright and colourful and very durable.

great slipper socks
these are such a great product we have wooden floors and 2 dogs so our floor can be slippery when dogs have come in wet, my daughter is able to run around the house and not slip over also great for when they 1st start to walk, can be worn outside too. my daughter is now 2 and a half and she still wears these as her slippers.

All the reviews I read stated that these baby shoes were particularly difficult to remove, my grandson, 16mths, took exactly 7 minutes and both were on the floor.
That aside, they are durable, tough, fun and they must be cumfy as they are staying on longer now.
I would recommend these for all toddlers, a brilliant idea and the toe protection is excellent.

excellent first shoes, very well designed, comfy
i bought these sandals few days ago for my 9 month old baby girl to wear at home since she is starting to walk now and needed some support for her feet - i know that it is important for the first shoes to be sturdy yet flexible, have a padded cushion, raised ankle straps, and leave room for growing toes - that's why these sandals are great for us, it ticks all the criteria for 'healthy' first shoes and you do not have to spend £20+ in specialising baby shoe stores like clarks. Excellent quality for money! my girl seems to enjoy them, she's walking around in them right now, seems to be very comfy. I would definitely recommend these sandals for anyone who's thinking of buying them. Lovely colours, cute designs.

Very nice girlie shoes
This shoes are realy nicely made, our little one loves them. She has a bit wide feet and they fit nicely thanks to the velcro fastenings. She can also take them off on her own - very independent lo (which is not always great if she decides to do it in the middle of a road!)

Atention with sizes.
Everythink was alright but the size! I do usually have a nº 12 for my kid when I look for an UK measure but these seams to be sized below in 2 numbers. The shoes really marked 12 but had the same size as the nº 10 she had.

Great
Vans have been around for years now, and I can definitely see why. They are surprisingly comfortable - like converses only with a thicker bottom. I recommend these for all ages - they look good, feel good, and Amazon has some of the best prices (of course, this depends on size, style and colour. A great choice. Stop the hesitation. Lol. Honestly, if you are a fan of Converses, I can't see why you wouldn't like Vans. :)

Can't get her out of them!
My daughter absolutely loves these shoes. Can't get her out of them. She's got wide feed so the velcro straps really help. She loves the colourful soles and I like that they provide enough resistence so that she's not slipping and sliding on marble floors.

good quality & stylish shoe
Bought these in a 11.5 for my 6-year old as he is in a half-size at the moment (which limits where you can buy shoes from). These look really nice and seem pretty hard-wearing so far, and should hopefully keep out the rain. For the price they are an absolute bargain!

they're great value for money
my son loves these shoes, they are comfy and easy for him to put on himself - he-s only 4. only thing they are quite big made so you might need to go half a size smaller.

Really pleased.
Got these a couple of days ago for my 6 year old son and we are both thrilled. They look really cool and are easy for him to put on himself. He's hardly taken them off since he got them and had no issue with rubbing or anything. I bought him the same size as his Clarks measured shoes and they seem to fit him beautifully - I would prob err to getting the larger size if between sizes. Real bargain.
